The Russians appear to be as unhappy with anonymity in figure skating judging as everyone else.
Among the hundreds of proposals up for consideration at next month's International Skating Union Congress is one from Russian skating officials to do away with anonymous judging. U.S. Figure Skating is pushing for the same thing, though its proposal goes a step further and inserts language requiring the marks of each judge to be identified.
"Deletion of anonymity will make the ISU Judging System more transparent and will increase the accountability of the Judges," the Russian proposal states.
Both proposals will be considered at the Congress, which is June 9-13 in Dublin.
Russia's proposal comes two months after two of its judges were at the center of a controversy over the women's final at the Sochi Olympics. Alla Shekhovtseva, one of the judges for the event, is married to the former president of the Russian skating federation and was seen hugging Adelina Sotnikova after the Russian teen upset Vancouver champion Yuna Kim.
Alexander Lakernik, a vice president of the Russian federation, was head of the technical panel, which decides the value of elements like jumps and spins and footwork.
The Korean Olympic Committee and Korea Skating Union called the judging "unreasonable and unfair," and have filed a complaint with the ISU.

러시아의 제안서는 두 명의 러시아 심판이 소치 올림픽 여자 싱글 경기와 관련한 논란의 중심에 서게 된지 두 달이 지나고 나서 나온 것이다. 그 경기의 심판이었던 알라 세코브체바는 러시아 피겨스케이팅연맹 전 회장의 아내이며, 러시아의 아델리나 소트니코바가 김연아를 이긴 이후 그녀와 포옹하는 모습이 포착되었다.
러시아 피겨연맹의 부회장인 알렉산더 라커닉은 점프, 스핀, 스텝 등의 요소를 평가하는 기술 심판진 (technical panel)의 책임자였다.
대한체육회외 한국빙상경기연맹은 그 판정이 '비합리적이고 불공정'했다며 ISU에게 제소를 한 상태다.
